I’m doing a lot of big changes to my newsletter this year. This year, the Holly Hook newsletter is going to be a whole lot better.

No, seriously.  Keep reading.

I know I haven’t sent these out as much as I should, and I’m finally getting my butt around to changing that.  I’m super excited about the changes I’m doing for 2014, and I’m sure you will be, too.

The first: a name change.  This newsletter is now the Destroyers E-Zine.  Because that sounds a lot cooler than the Holly Hook Newsletter.

The second: I will email my subscribers more often, and not only for book releases.  I’m going to aim for at least a couple of times per month instead of a couple of times per year.  Since I have to work a full-time job and write at the same time, my brain will explode if I do any more than that.

And for the third: I’m going to be exploring the art of short story writing more this year.  Not only that, but I’m going to make them available to my subscribers for free!  I’ll release at least four short stories this year, one every couple months or so, with the first coming late this winter.  These will probably be available in the eBook stores for a small price, but those of you who have signed up for my mailing list won’t have to pay a thing.  I’ll send you the link and a coupon code to get them for free.

(Besides, some people in my critique group want me to write more short stories, so it’s worth a shot.)

Some of these short stories will be related to the books I’ve written or plan to write in the future, but others will stand alone.  I’ve got a couple of vague ideas now which I’ll be working to develop in the new year.

Still there?

Good.  There’s one more thing.

As a thank-you to new subscribers, I’m offering a young adult comedy novella titled After These Messages for free!   Those of you already subscribed (that is, all of you who signed up for my mailing list already) also get to download it for free!  If you think TV commercials are ridiculous and you have a fear of a certain creepy fast food mascot with a giant plastic head and a creepy grin, you’ll probably like this short book.

If you want to sign up to get the Destroyers E-Zine, just click the link on the right side of the page.
